In this monotype Karin Mamma Andersson have been inspired by woodcuts by Edvard Munch. The lonely figures are mirrored in the clouds, the water and the surrounding landscape. The inspiration comes from the Norwegian 19th Century artist but the composition and the painterly quality is entirely Karin’s own. The title ‘God night earth’ could have many meanings among them certainly a contribution to the environmental debate.
