Axel Lind F469

In this themed auction, we want to highlight the Danish-Swedish painter Axel Lind. He was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and lived to the age of 103 before passing away in 2011 in his hometown of Skagen. In 1976, he opened the Grenen Art Museum in Skagen, focusing on art related to the sea. Lind's lifelong project was the depiction of the sea, and in this auction, we present a broad selection of his work, ranging from his well-known stormy seascapes to the more tranquil and sunlit scenes. The auction also features two paintings depicting scenes from the Alps, another motif that he returned to and refined throughout his career.
