A simple function check indicated the movement runs; accuracy, power reserve and long-term performance have not been tested and servicing may be required at the buyer’s expense. Water resistance cannot be guaranteed and should be checked by a qualified watchmaker before any exposure to water. No right of withdrawal applies to live auction purchases.
Omega used two case makers for the 105.012: Huguenin Frères (HF) and La Centrale Boîtes of Biel (CB). The CB cases—seen only on the sub-reference 105.012-66—are identifiable by a subtle extra facet: a fine line between the polishing planes on the tops of the lyre lugs. Many examples lost this detail to polishing, which makes crisp CB cases particularly sought after.
