A Private Contemporary Swedish Collection F642

The private collection presented by Bukowskis in this auction has been assembled over a period of more than ten years. Each acquisition has been made with a curious and intuitive eye, without predetermined goals or the need for a coherent thread. Despite this seemingly spontaneous approach, a clear artistic direction has gradually emerged, with the collection leaning towards figurative and powerful painting. The collection offers an interesting cross-section of the young Swedish art scene over the past decade, with many of the artists having trained at Malmö Art Academy or having a connection to the Öresund region through studios, galleries, or exhibitions.

“Each piece has held a special place in my home and has enriched my life and everyday experiences. Over time, however, the walls and storage have become too crowded, so I have decided to sell part of the collection. I see this as a natural step, allowing the works to find new owners and continue to be appreciated in other places.”
— The Art Collector
