Jan Håfström is a highly versatile artist who, since the 1960s, has worked with both figurative and abstract painting, graphic art, film, and sculpture. In this thematic auction, his fantastic visual world is showcased in a series of signed etchings and lithographs. Many familiar faces and figures appear, not least the recurring comic strip-like character Mr Walker, the man who is constantly on the move, much like The Phantom. The figures in Jan Håfström’s visual world elude and fascinate with a hyper-realistic comic book aesthetic.
