Carsten Regild

Carsten Regild (1941–1992), the Swedish painter and draughtsman, was a visionary who breathed new life into both collages and drawings through his unique blend of advertising elements and artistic freedom of expression. His work was deeply rooted in a personal symbol system, where each piece became a visual dialogue between dream and reality, grounded in influences from Dadaism and Surrealism.

In this themed auction, we are given an insight into Carsten Regild's fascinating universe, where each work offers a new and thought-provoking journey. Regild continues to be a strong voice in the Swedish art scene, opening up a world full of new perspectives.

Final consignments are ongoing for our upcoming live auction Modern Art & Design, 20–21 May.
