IRON

IRON's artistic roots lie in both graffiti and more traditional art forms, where the driving force behind everything is a passion for creating art. He works mainly with stencils, spray cans and brushes, either outdoors or in the studio, and is equally committed to creating large murals as he is to putting up small, hand-painted posters.

Through his art, he aims to comment on contemporary society, and many of his images tell little stories. IRON describes street art as a way of occupying the public sphere. Through it, he can plant a seed and reach out to viewers. His ambition is to encourage reflection and provide a different perspective. IRON loves propaganda and poster art, icon painting, and other timeless, simple and visual forms of communication which is clearly reflected in the works included in our themed auction.
