Carl Skogman’s account of the first Swedish circumnavigation of the
world in 1851-1853. With 20 fine coloured lithographed plates, 6 woodcut
plates, and 3 folding lithographed maps. The ship visited San Francisco
at the height of the gold rush, Hawaii, Rio, Buenos Aires, Valparaiso,
The Galapagos, Panama and Tahiti.
Somewhat later half morocco, spine faded, insignificant wear, ownership
stamp of Swedish artist August Malmström (1829-1901).
