1965 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst – time capsule condition

Fretboard of Brazilian Rosewood with time correctly pearl dots. Small head with transition logo. L-series serial number L-77237 on the neck plate. "White guard" pickguard without scratches. Original 3-way switch and potentiometer with the code 70-2125-0035 250K AUD 304-6516 (v.16, 1965). Grey bobbin pickups with pencilmark 5-5-65, original Hagström /Järna) with case candy as Fender Stratocaster manual (hang tag) with correct serial number, original tremolo arm and bridge cover (with decals from the shop with correct serial number and selling price), strap (as new), Fender string set (incomplete), two Allen keys, cable and another cable with DIN-contact (probably not original).

When the guitar, despite its age, seems to be as new, the neck has not been removed. According to the owner the guitar is only used a few times and then put away in its case, which the corroded frets testifies. The head, back of the neck and body has no visible dings, scratches or traces of sun bleach, smoke or moisture. The case has no moisture stains or smell. The instrument is more or less in unplayed condition.

Provenance

The guitar is bought new 1965, used the first years until the owner deceased. Then in inheritance within the family.
