Rolf Rikard Thies, table and eight chairs

Rolf Thies (1927-2019). Architect, educated in Karlsruhe, came to Sweden in the 1950s to study architecture at KTH in Stockholm. He stayed in Stockholm and in 1960 started his own architectural firm. During the 1970s, he became internationally known for his proposals in urban planning. During the latter part of his professional career, he designed mainly private houses and villas. The furniture he designed, he made mainly for his own use and nothing came in further production.
