Consignments are accepted to this spring’s design hammer auctions. Prior to the auction, we have asked Bukowskis’ contemporary design specialists Eva Seeman and Jonatan Jahn about which objects that are trending at the moment.
Which designers are you extra excited about in this spring’s auction?
We can see a huge demand on several post-modernistic designers such as Ettore Sottsass and Nathalie Du Pasquier from the Memphis group. Objects by Swedish designers such as Jonas Bohlin, Mats Theselius, Sigurdur Gustafsson, Olle Andersson are also sought-after. But we can also see an increasing demand on objects by our contemporary designers Folkform, Fredrik Paulsen, Hanna Hansdotter, Nick Ross, Simon Klenell and many more.
Which objects do you believe will become talked-about in this spring's Contemporary Art & Design auction?
Contemporary is a very appreciated viewing with unique and personal designs and interior objects. We have a lot of nice objects in right now by designers such as Ron Arad, Tobia Scarpa, Mats Theselius and Piero Fornasetti.
With only a couple of week left for final consignments, are there any specific art works you would like to accept?
We would love to have a chair by Shiro Kuramata in this auction, preferable a "Ms Blanche”, "How High the moon”, or a "Grandmother Chair” from Robert Venturi, or why not an object by Donald Judd?
