The specialist's choice – Johanna Fock lists favourites from A life - A private collection of fashion
Specialists choice Johanna Fock
We have spoken to Johanna Fock, Specialist Fashion, about the ongoing auction A life – A private collection of fashion. She took the opportunity to highlight some of her personal favourites in the sale.
What makes the ongoing auction A life – A private collection of fashion so unique?
– During the many years that I have worked as a Fashion Specialist at Bukowskis, I have never seen anything like this in the fashion category, it is the most exclusive and comprehensive collection sold at auction in Scandinavia. This fantastic collection is so well cared for, every object comes with its original boxes, dust bags and ribbons, resulting in the collection being in excellent condition, which is of high importance to both clients and collectors worldwide.

Himalaya Kelly 32
Hermès “Himalaya Kelly 32” is perhaps one of the rarest and most sought after handbags in the world. The bag is made from Niloticus Crocodile in a subtle coloration that is meant to evoke images of the majestic Himalayan mountain. The dyeing process of the leather is strenuous and takes several hours to complete, the lighter the shade, the more difficult the process.
Estimate: 1 200 000 - 1 500 000 SEK
Bird Cage Bag
Chanel's "Bird Cage Bag" is certainly a conversation starter in all sorts of contexts. The spectacular limited-edition bag from Chanel’s pre-fall 2020 collection is designed by Creative Director Virginie Viard. As the name suggests, the bag is shaped like a birdcage and has an internal pouch in suede. The door of the birdcage is crafted with two small birds, and the bottom features signature pearls and the classic CC logo.
