Lisa Larson’s popular figurines have attracted collectors both in Sweden and internationally for decades. Most of the items in this themed auction come from a passionate collector in Köping who spent over thirty years gathering Lisa’s various creations. Now that the collection has been passed down to the next generation, the owners have entrusted Bukowskis with the task of selling it.
Discover rare sculptures and wall plaques, as well as highly sought-after series pieces from collections such as "ABC-flickor", "Afrika", "Traffic", "Jura", "Menageri", and "Samhällsdebatten". The auction also includes a bronze sculpture, Tonårsflickan, a limited edition from the "Galleri Scandia" series launched in 1978. This year also marks the 80th anniversary of Pippi Långstrump. Lisa Larson’s rendition of our beloved superhero, produced between 1969 and 1971, is featured here.
Lisa Larson began working at Gustavsberg in 1954. The freedom to create and the development of serial production resulted in 26 years of great sales success. Many of her charming ceramic figures have become some of the most beloved by people in both Sweden and Japan. Lisa Larson left the Gustavsberg factory in 1980 and went on to found Keramikstudion in 1992, together with her colleagues Franco Nicolosi and Siv Solins. Today, her cherished figures are still being produced in Gustavsberg harbour – in the very place where it all began over 70 years ago.
Welcome to be inspired and to place your bids on beautiful sculptures and objects from one of Sweden’s most cherished designers.
