Lisa Larson

Lisa Larson’s popular figurines have attracted collectors both in Sweden and internationally for decades. Most of the items in this themed auction come from a passionate collector in Köping who spent over thirty years gathering Lisa’s various creations. Now that the collection has been passed down to the next generation, the owners have entrusted Bukowskis with the task of selling it.

Discover rare sculptures and wall plaques, as well as highly sought-after series pieces from collections such as "ABC-flickor", "Afrika", "Traffic", "Jura", "Menageri", and "Samhällsdebatten". The auction also includes a bronze sculpture, Tonårsflickan, a limited edition from the "Galleri Scandia" series launched in 1978. This year also marks the 80th anniversary of Pippi Långstrump. Lisa Larson’s rendition of our beloved superhero, produced between 1969 and 1971, is featured here.

When Lisa Larson joined Gustavsberg in 1954, the original plan was for her to stay one year and create “bestsellers”. That one year turned into 26 years of major commercial success, and her many charming ceramic figures have become some of the most cherished in both Sweden and Japan. Lisa Larson left the Gustavsberg factory in 1980 and went on to found Keramikstudion in 1992 together with her colleagues Franco Nicolosi and Siv Solin. Today, her beloved figures are still produced in Gustavsberg harbour — the very place where it all began 70 years ago.

You are warmly invited to be inspired and place your bids on beautiful sculptures and pieces from one of Sweden’s most beloved designers.
