Matto, an antique Beijing, China, late Qing dynasty, ca 353,5-359 x 275-282 cm.
A light blue melange ground with a flower medallion, corner ornaments and scattered flowers in ivory, pale yellow, pale grey as well as a variety of blue and brown nuances. A wide ivory main border with a large peony vine. An ivory inner secondary border with bats and flowers.
Slightly faded, abrashes, partly "cut and shut" (cut and put together, assembled). Some partly hard wear, dirty, stains, repairs, rewoven areas, repaired tears. The sides and ends have fold wear and insignificant damages, one end has a hole.
