Welcome to this autumn's themed auction of contemporary design, where we invite you to explore an exciting selection of furniture and works of art. As a response to modernism, design in the late 20th century took a more individualistic and playful direction. Materials, construction, form, and colour were no longer bound by formal structures and traditions. This culminated in the postmodern movement of the 1980s, led by the Italian design collective the Memphis Group - a style that still resonates today. Several renowned international and Swedish designers are represented in this auction, such as Ettore Sottssas, Patricia Uquiola, Gaetano Pesce, Ron Arad, Mats Theselius, Philippe Starck and Jonas Bohlin.
