Female Artists
Art history is incomplete without the women who helped shape it, even though their names have all too often been erased afterward. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, a number of talented female artists worked who, despite the limitations of their time, created works of great artistic power and originality. This auction is a tribute to their vision, their expression, and their stubborn presence in an era when women's creativity rarely received the recognition it deserved.
