The Master Etcher Zorn – A Collection

Few artists demonstrate the same range of technique as Anders Zorn. He worked in watercolour, oil painting, and etching, moving effortlessly between these media. By the time of his death, he had produced over 280 etchings – some based on earlier paintings, others created directly on the copper plate.

This themed auction presents a selection of Anders Zorn’s etchings, all drawn from a private collection. The subjects reflect his work over time and include everything from portrait studies of friends to nude studies. Together, they offer an insight into his approach to light, form, and composition within the graphic medium.
