The cabinet "Hommage à Josef Frank" was designed for the first solo exhibition where Svenskt Tenn, at the initiative of Ann Wall, allowed an external design team to showcase their work. For the exhibition, the duo Sandin & Bülow designed the cabinet in honour of Josef Frank, as a postmodern interpretation of his 'Nationalmuseum cabinet' model 881.
