Contemporary Design Online

Välkommen till vårens temaauktion med samtida design där vi bjuder in dig att utforska ett spännande utbud av möbler och konsthantverk. Som en reaktion mot modernismen utvecklades formgivningen under det sena 1900-talet i en mer individualistisk och lekfull riktning. Material, konstruktion, form och färg behövde inte längre underordnas formella strukturer och traditioner. Detta nådde sin kulmen under den postmoderna rörelsen på 1980-talet med det italienska designkollektivet Memphisgruppen i spetsen, men det är en stil vars efterverkningar sträcker sig ända in i våra dagar. Flertalet namnkunniga internationella och svenska formgivare finns representerade i denna välfyllda auktion, såsom Mats Theselius, Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Carl-Axel Acking, Poul Kjærholm, Mario Marenco, Patricia Urquiola, Gerrit Rietveld och Eero Saarinen.
