Hildur Hansson Collection – A passion for Svenskt Tenn

Hildur Hansson was born in Hishult in Skåne the south of Sweden. Her husband Erik Hansson died early during the Finnish Winter War 1939–1940, leaving his wife Hildur alone with her son Ingemar. The family then lived in Stockholm.

One of Hildur's closest friends early on became Estrid Ericson (founder of Svenskt Tenn). It was only natural that Hildur started collecting objects from Svenskt Tenn early on. An interest she maintained her whole life and which her son Ingemar nurtured and developed in his home in southern Skåne.

Most of the collection of unique objects from Svenskt Tenn was sold during Bukowski's Modern Art + Design auction earlier this fall. Now we present the remaining objects from the home her son Ingemar Hansson had in southern Skåne.
