Mahogany veneer. Carved decorations, armrests in the shape of stylized field marshal's batons. Acanthus leaf, S-shape arm support. Plush upholstery, cushion. Height to seat 42 cm. Width 62 cm, total depth 67 cm, height 90 cm.

Later upholstery, repairs and reinforcements. Marks, cracks due to dryness of the material.

Haikko Manor, Porvoo, Finland.

More information

Comparable to the armchair model depicted on page 101 in the book "Presidentin Linna", edited by Rauno Endén, SKS, Helsinki 2017. The armchair model, with gildings and a half sun in the apron, is part of the walnut veneered Empire furniture suite designed by Vasili Stasov located in the Yellow Room of the Presidential Palace in Helsinki.
