A titanium "flyback" chronograph with a carbon fibre dial and COSC-certified movement Calibre 01.200, rotor shaped like the GT2 RS wheel, made exclusively for owners of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991.2).
-related wear. Runs during a basic function test but is in need of service.
When Porsche unveiled the 911 GT2 RS (991.2) in 2017—the fastest and most powerful road-going 911 of its time—it simultaneously introduced a companion timepiece built in the same spirit: the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT2 RS. This was the first watch to receive Porsche Design’s Werk 01.200 movement, a flyback chronograph that is COSC-certified.
The design and materials mirror the car directly: a lightweight 42 mm titanium case, a carbon-fiber dial finished in GT Silver, and a tachymeter whose 340 km/h top speed marker is highlighted. Through the sapphire back, the dramatic tungsten rotor appears as a GT2 RS wheel complete with center-lock and “RS” script.
The watch was available exclusively to 911 GT2 RS owners; Porsche Design notes that these so-called Exclusive Vehicle Watches are produced in limited numbers tied to the cars and configured to match each customer’s vehicle.
Technically, it is built for real-world use: sapphire crystals with hardened coating and seven-layer anti-reflective treatment, a screw-down crown, water-resistance to 5 bar, and Alcantara® straps (black and red) with a titanium folding clasp echoing the GT2 RS cabin materials.
