Emil Hultmark
From the collection of Forest Master Nils and Inga-Lill Hultmark, Torps Egendom, Västergötland.
Nils Hultmark was the son of Forest Master David Hultmark, brother to Emil and Richard Hultmark, who collected Asian ceramics and decorative arts, and were members of the ‘China Club’ in Stockholm during the 1920s along with Carl Kempe (1884-1967), Ivan Traugott (1871-1952), and Crown Prince Gustav Adolf. The brothers are well-known collectors in Sweden and built their collections during the golden age of European collecting. Nils and Inga-Lill also had a great interest in art and were thus frequent visitors at Stockholm auctions and gallery exhibitions, where they made sure to expand the inherited collection with carefully selected objects.
