A mirror by Fredric Johan Foeder or Fjäder, (Master in Turku 1782-1832). Signed F.J.F and hallmarked in Turku.
Bronzed, carved decoration. In frame beaded. In the crown and the bottom recessed series of pictures behind glass. Height 121 cm, width 53 cm.

Foeder is considered one of the most important mirror makers in Finland during the neoclassical period. Three Gustavian mirrors signed F.J.F. are in the National Museum in Helsinki (Torsten Sylvén, Elsebeth Welander-Berggren, Mirrors, p. 121).
