Föremålet tillhörde den samling av keramik som Rörstrand hade fram till 1926, då man skulle flytta från Stockholm till Göteborg. Det var inte en samling man ställde ut utan en samling som var till för fabrikens konstnärer osv att studera och inspireras av. Stora delar av samlingen såldes på en auktion 1926.
