With engraved title (cropped in outer margin), engraved map (cut close) and 25 woodcuts in text. Contemporary full leather, rebacked and lightly worn, slight foxing and insignificant stains retouched in white chalk.

Early and important work on the laplanders, their history and culture, the first authoritative account of the lapps since Olaus Magnus. The first edition appeared in 1673 (in Latin), a German in 1675, an enlarged French edition in 1678 and a Dutch in 1682. (Sten G. Lindberg, Swedish Books 1280-1967, p. 23).
