Isaac Grünewald "Ateljén med tavlor", 1916
In the Swedish department, I am very fond of the choice of colour and the exciting composition in Isaac Grünewald's "Ateljén med tavlor". The painting depicts Grünewald's wife Sigrid Hjertén and their son Iván in the family's home and studio. The painting was made in the artist's heydays and has been exhibited at several acclaimed exhibitions in Sweden.

Gösta Adrian-Nilsson "Matroser", 1917
Another one of my favourites is Gösta Adrian Nilsson's black and white Sailor picture, with the motif fragmented as in a kaleidoscope where we find sailors in different designs.
