Provenance Erik B Lundberg Finnhult's farm Snogeröd Höör. Thereafter inheritance in the family.
Engineer Erik B Lundberg was a dedicated art collector. He lived in Rome, Italy, from the mid-1920s to the early 1940s. There, he purchased at least one sculpture directly from the Polish-born artist Michele Paszyn and commissioned this relief. The sculpture "Prima Vera" was sold in 1956 to Eslöv Municipality, where it is now placed in front of the town hall. The relief is recorded in Lundberg's cash book, with specified details about the costs of work and materials, along with a comment "Jacopo Sansovino."
