JONAS CARL LINNERHIELM, portrait miniatures, a pair, mounted in the same frame. Book about the artist included in lot.

Each miniature portrait signed and dated JCL 1799. The miniatures mounted on an image of a true-forget-me-not with the following inscription: "Den dag du mig förglömmer. Du mig till döden dömmer. Wilhelm. Walsnäs (?) den 30 juli 1817". According to label verso the portrait miniatures depicts the artist's daughters: Engel Maria Linnerhielm (born 1792, married in 1856 to Baronet Adam Christian Raab on Ryssbylund estate, died childless there in 1856) and Helena Maria Linnerhielm (born 1793, died unmarried ogift on Ebbetorp in 1867). Each miniature circa 4.8 x 3.8 cm. Total measurements (incl. frame) 18 x 14.5 cm.

Not examined out of frame. Crack. Stains. Wear. Book in apparently good condition.

Miss Maria Bergman (who inherited the portrait miniatures from Ebbetorp estate, the artist's home); by descent within the family.
