Enligt uppgift inköpt 1870-71 i Paris av officeren Anders Petter Ståhle under en kommendering då han var verksam vid Franska kavalleriet och ridskolan i Soumyr. Därefter ägd av sonen Axel Ståhle, som 1924 vann OS-guld i hästhoppning. Därefter arv i familjen.
