Set of 8 vintage swivel chairs model 115 and a table by Maurice Burke for Arkana, United Kingdom, 1960s
White lacquered aluminium base. Seats in moulded fibreglass, with loose cushions.. Laminated table top. Chairs marked Arkana 115. Seat height circa 46, width 50, height 80 cm. Table diameter 136, height 74 cm.
The table top and base are delivered in separate parts (including 4 screws in a bag). Occasional stains on the seats. Cracks in the fibreglass, minor scratches and wear.

Maurice Burke was a mid-20th century furniture designer, best known for his work for Arkana. The Burke 115 Chair and 116 Armchair are iconic pieces of furniture in all the Star Trek series. For filming, the chair was modified by the Star Trek set designers, who added a black headrest and beveled back detail.
