A pair of ormolu three-branch Empire candelabra, Stockholm, early 19th century.
Gilded bronze. Column shaft with leaf and palmette casing, on a round base plate with palmette decoration against a stippled background. Candelabra arms with an Egypt-inspired caryatid bust flanked by dragon-shaped light arms, light sockets decorated with rostrum bows and palmettes, eagles, and a detachable finial in the form of a flame. Height 42 cm.
