A Swedish Dalecarlian painted box, 19th Century.
Polychrome painted with stylised floral decoration and the initials MLD as well as the year 1841. Two drawers and one compartment inside. Length 36, width 25, height 18 cm.
Wear due to age and use. Colour loss. Cracks due to dryness of the material. Partly later painting.
