A 5-piece sterling silver tea and coffee set by Walter & John Barnard, London 1892-93 and Walker & Hall Sheffield 1899.

Set comprising three pots a cream jug and a sugar bowl. The pots with hinged lids and black wooden handles and finials. Cream jug and sugar bowl with gilt interior. All pieces raised on four ball feet. On each piece, an engraved crest depicting a dragon holding a shield with a cross.
The height of the coffee pot 24 cm, length 23 cm. The height of the cream jug 8.5 cm, the length of the sugar bowl handles incl 13 cm.
Total weight 1775 g.
The coffee pot marked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1899, the others with maker's mark of Walter & John Barnard, London 1892-93.
Finnish control marks, Tarkiainen 1988.

The sugar bowl with an inscription on the bottom.
An indentation in the corner of the sugar bowl body. Some tarnish. The general impression is good.

The inscription is dedicated to the historian and genealogist Yrjö Blomstedt (1926-1994).
