Japanese Prints & Works of Art – May edition

In the May edition of our theme auction Japanese Prints and Works of art you will find a wide selection of woodblock prints, porcelain and beautiful bronzes as well as ikebana baskets and silver. Some of the highlights of the auction are Ito Shinsui's famous motif "Mayuzumi" (Blackening the eyebrows) and Hirano Hakuho's "Kagami no mae" (Before the Mirror), both featuring beauties in the intimate moment of getting ready. The silver belt signed Sanju Saku is also a gem, as is the small ‘ohhi ware’ tea bowl. There is collectibles for the scholar collector, but also delicate things for those who want to adorn interiors with unique crafts and art, from elegant bronzes to porcelain and ceramics, woodblock prints suitable for both classic and modern homes.
